Rebtel Offers New Calling Rates for International Phone Calls

By Calvin Azuri

Rebtel (News - Alert) has introduced what its call the lowest ever calling rates for international calls. According to the company, by the end of March, people in Beijing, El Salvador, Guatemala, Bahrain, Singapore, South Africa and Croatia will be able to benefit from unbelievably low international calling rates.

By using Rebtel, calls can be made just like making a local call thanks to Rebtel expanding its network to include six new countries and Beijing.
New rates announced by Rebtel include: UK to Bahrain will cost 15 cents per minute, Guatemala will be accessible for 12 cents or less a minute, and a call from Canada to Beijing will be 2 cents per minute.

"But if you think that's still too expensive you can use Rebtel's Smart Call system and make all of those same calls for free," said Hjalmar Winbladh, Rebtel's co-founder and CEO.

To allow for the low cost calls, Rebtel allots users local phone numbers that can then be used to connect to their long-distance friends and relatives—giving them the freedom to pick up the phone and talk whenever they feel like it, at a very low rate.

As an example, a Beijing user of Rebtel is assigned a local Beijing phone number that will connect them to their friend in New York. And vice versa, the user in New York receives a local number which will similarly connect up to the friend in Beijing.
