Inter-Tel (News - Alert), a provider of voice and data communication solutions, has launched Inter-Tel 3000, an advanced communications system that provides VoIP connectivity to small offices.

The new system can simultaneously manage multiple devices including VoIP, digital, wireless and analog systems. With the success of 7000 and 5000 versions for big businesses, the company came up with this 3000 version specifically aimed at small offices home offices and offices situated at remote places.

When Inter-Tel 3000 is in place, small offices, home offices and offices at remote locations can have seamless IP connectivity. The package features both a new broadband module and new IP extension and scalable up to 52 extensions. It offers standard digital telephones that allow easy access to powerful system features such as conference, transfer, personal speed dial and voice messaging. Its IP-based phone can plug and play from anywhere in the office, home or branch office through a broadband connection.

Inter-Tel says it is a misconception to say that small offices cannot leverage VoIP solutions. According to Inter-Tel, the program is designed to be a user-friendly platform that manages both voice and data communications for small businesses.

Furthermore, its broadband module provides Local Area Network (LAN) capabilities, allowing users to network PCs and other devices, including IP endpoints and 802.11 wireless devices. With these user-friendly features, small businesses can leverage their VoIP environment, according to the company.

As there is no need of a dealer certification for installation, users themselves can administer the system according to their changing needs.

Advanced capabilities of Inter-Tel 3000 are designed to allow small organizations to take advantage of the benefits more commonly associated with larger IP telephony systems, without having to pay large system prices, commented Craig W. Rauchle, president and chief operating officer of Inter-Tel in a statement.
