Virtual PBX Acquires Open Communication Systems

OCS supplies advanced personal communication and broadcasting services based upon open standards and open source technology to its customers worldwide. In addition, it is the name behind the development of Radio Handi, a service offering for group communication, conferencing, and mobile broadcasting spread across 30 countries.
The acquisition is a strategic move for Virtual PBX. The company will add an array of highly technical VoIP Virtual PBX intends to introduce a line of virtual office telecommunications services based on amalgamated technologies from the two companies. This suite of services will be made available by the company the fourth quarter of 2007. Virtual PBX will use this association to expand its current market share as well as venture into new markets.
Paul Hammond, CEO at Virtual PBX, said in a statement, “Our goal is to provide customers with a feature-rich business communication solution that is affordable and easy to use.”
“Virtual PBX makes traditional telephone systems obsolete, with no on-site equipment, and gives even the smallest business the capabilities and presence often available only to Fortune 500-szied companies. OCS' platform and talented team will help us further our vision of a unified suite of hosted communication products that will cross new boundaries for our company and the industry,” Hammond continued.
Brian McConnell, founder of Open Communication Systems, commented, “Virtual PBX is a pioneer in hosted communication services, with a strong management team, and maintains a large and diverse customer base. That they did this as an independent company in a competitive and capital intensive industry is all the more remarkable.
