Tpad (News - Alert), a provider of residential, mobile and business VoIP phone services has chosen Voxbone as their chief provider for local access Direct Inward Dialing (DID) numbers.

Local access DID numbers are being used by businesses all over the world to save costs and expand their presence globally at comparatively minimal costs. Local access DID numbers enable Tpad customers to receive calls in over 40 countries using direct local numbers dialled from any normal landline.
Introduced in January 2006, Tpad allows customers to simply call the Tpad local access phone numbers from any landline or mobile then dial the unique Tpad SIP Number of their contact, anywhere in the world.
Voxbone is a provider of international VoIP origination services to carriers, ITSPs, calling card operators, NGNs (Next Generation Networks (News - Alert)), call centers and other businesses around the world.
According to company sources, Voxbone was selected because of the huge availability of customized numbers offered by them as well as the high quality of service. The company also has a surplus of virtual phone numbers and SIP trunks. Voxbone (News - Alert) was also chosen because it promises a fast setup time for its systems.
"Tpad allows everyone to benefit from the advantages of Internet VoIP calling, even if they don't have internet or PC access," said Steven Johns, Marketing Manager of Tpad. "To provide such a revolutionary free service, we needed a partner that operates globally with a high level of quality and stability. Voxbone is that ideal partner for Tpad."
Official sources said that Tpad customers could now use direct inbound dial (DID) and toll free numbers from Voxbone to receive inexpensive, locally dialled phone calls.
Johns pointed out that Tpad was one of the first VoIP companies to offer free or ultra low-cost international phone calls from any phone device. Depending on the user’s current call plan, calling a local number connects the caller with their global Tpad contacts for the price of a local phone call, or for free.
The equipment required is the standard VoIP hardware. (ATA / Softphone / IP Phone / Nokia WiFi (News - Alert)) users can receive these calls for free or call forward them to any landline or mobile in the world at usual low cost VoIP call rates, company sources added.
Headquartered in Brussels, Belgium, Voxbone provides worldwide DID numbers and free phone numbers over a private intercontinental VoIP. Voxbone currently covers 45 countries.
Tpad offers next-generation telephony solutions for consumers and businesses. The IP telephony company is headquartered in the UK with offices in the UAE.
