NBS (News - Alert) has released a statement confirming the completion of its purchase of Simlab.net. Simlab's specialty is the deployment of managed private WANs with an emphasis on QoS, Internet and VoIP services. NBS claims to have expanded its traditional facilities based services, advanced IP voice and IT services, as well as managed networks and high speed internet connectivity by acquiring the resources of Simlab.
Network Billing Systems (NBS) is a fully-integrated telecommunications service provider and it offers a suite of local, long distance, Internet and data services, as well as managed and hosted networks and complete VoIP solutions.
"The combined capabilities of the two companies, now integrated and functioning as one, cover even more of the data and telecom needs of our customers," said NBS' CEO Jon Kaufman. "When it comes to a diverse solution set for any telecom network related requirement, we've truly become the one-stop shop provider we set out to be," he added.
NBS President Russell Markman seconded those comments and pointed to the integrated company's flexible, custom-tailored solutions. "It is important that we maintain our leadership role in these areas, and Simlab strengthens our core competencies in the provisioning of both facilities based and carrier services" stated Markman.
NBS says that it maintains its edge over its competitors by making tailored managed solutions and being the one single point of contact to its customers and also their network is optimized for VoIP, and QoS (Quality of Service) is run from end to end.
The addition of Simlab offers NBS wholesalers an opportunity to interconnect with NBS and get to use products and services such as Managed Private Networks, enhanced for QoS. There is also provision for them to add QoS based solutions to their existing network infrastructure.
NBS claims that it remains carrier and technology agnostic, mixing flexible access options ranging from DSL to 10 Gigabit-Ethernet. It deploys its Managed Private Network, using its own carrier backbone and it is said to ensure that coverage area is never an issue while deploying VoIP across a WAN.
