Aveksa announced that it has been validated as “Ready for IBM (News - Alert) Tivoli Software” for its integration of the Aveksa 3 Access Governance Platform with IBM Tivoli Identity Manager. IBM Tivoli Identity Manager helps enterprises strengthen and automate internal controls governing user access rights.

 

Aveksa is a provider of enterprise access governance solutions. Using Aveksa, enterprises can unify and certify user roles and accounts controlled by IBM Tivoli Identity Manager with identity, entitlement, and role information from other sources. Using Aveksa’s automated access certifications, companies can process access change requests and remediation of access rights violations that result from a certification through an automated process. By eliminating the need for manual processes, Aveksa reduces room for error as well as access risk across the enterprise.

 

Deepak Taneja, founder, president and CTO of Aveksa, noted that IBM’s user provisioning system — the Tivoli Identity Manager — is extensively deployed in the market, but the burden on users is the number of hours spent manually processing entitlement requests, conducting access certification,s and monitoring compliance throughout their organizations.

The Aveksa Access Governance Platform comprises the Aveksa Compliance Manager, which automates the monitoring, reporting, certification, and remediation of user entitlements, and the Aveksa Role Manager, which enables role discovery, modelling, and maintenance.
