Macadamian (News - Alert), a software creation and usability partner use by software, VoIP, and health science companies, today announced they have joined the Microsoft (News - Alert) NXT initiative for independent software vendors (ISVs) as a NXT delivery partner.

The company said the NXT initiative provides complete, end-to-end support to software companies that want to migrate or cross-platform their primary solutions to the Microsoft platform.

“We are happy to include Macadamian as a NXT delivery partner,” said Greg Urquhart, General Manager, ISV Partners at Microsoft Corporation. “By adding their expertise to the NXT initiative, Macadamian can continue to help ISVs that are looking to adopt Microsoft technology into their solutions.”

Microsoft is now working with Macadamian based on its history of product engineering on Microsoft platforms, porting commercial products, and helping ISVs migrate their products to new Microsoft platforms. In 2001, Macadamian helped ISVs be the first to release products on the then new Windows XP platform. Today, Macadamian is helping software companies develop products on Windows Vista, Windows Mobile 6, Microsoft .NET (News - Alert), and the Windows SQL Server family of products.

“ISV NXT is the most comprehensive ISV partner initiative I’ve seen from a platform vendor, with support for both ISVs and their co-development partners like Macadamian,” said Matthew Hately, General Manager, Silicon Valley, Macadamian. “Our customers will be able to take advantage of our close relationship with Microsoft to reduce the time-to-market in building their products on next-generation Microsoft technologies.”
