Rockwell Provides Sustainable Manufacturing Solutions
By Anuradha Shukla, TMCnet Contributor
Rockwell Automation, a global company focused on manufacturing industrial automation and information products, is reportedly making efforts to make its customers more productive and the world more sustainable.
In a release, Keith Nosbusch, Rockwell Automation chairman and CEO, said this year the company will help customers to make the most of their investment in automation and information technology.
The company will also focus on improving its competitiveness -- and ensuring that it is well-positioned to capitalize on the economic recovery. Nosbusch sees plant-wide optimization representing a new era in manufacturing. He believes companies making the investment will be able to address new sustainability objectives in a better manner and quickly respond to changes in consumer demand.
Company officials said manufacturers are being driven by a changing global economy to search new continuous improvement methodologies. Their efforts are supported by the convergence of industrial automation and information technology.
Rockwell Automation recently sponsored an “automation fair” for nearly 9,000 customers, Rockwell Automation PartnerNetwork members, industry analysts and media from around the world.
The company hoped this event would give an opportunity to the attendees to identify ways to use their automation investment to drive innovative engineering, flexible operations and efficient maintenance across their organizations.
Rockwell Automation also delivers to machine builders that manufacture industrial equipment that needs different levels of automation technology, depending on the end use of the machines. These manufacturers need flexibility and turn towards Rockwell Automation solutions to bring down total cost of design, develop and deliver machines and improve time to market.
The company believes that sustainable production is the only long-term solution to tackle the challenges associated with the increasing costs of energy, raw materials, environmental regulations, workers’ compensation and product liability.
Rockwell Automation offers solutions that are designed to help manufacturers address economic pressures. These solutions help users to achieve long-term business goals, improve global competitiveness and brand value, and have a more positive impact on society and the environment.
